Maria Verdile has been teaching art in both the elementary and high school levels since 1998. In that time she has perfected the knack for getting both kids and adults enthused about making art. Her positive attitude and encouraging words help the artist within each student come alive.
Maria attended Siena College and the State University of New York at Albany to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art. She also attended The International Summer School of Animation at Sheridan College in Ontario, Canada for an additional 3 year degree in animation and cartooning.
As both an artist and educator, Maria Verdile has committed herself as a teaching artist. She believes the mere process of creating art has benefits to the overall wellbeing of every child and adult. Through art workshops, lessons, camps and parties, she provides the opportunity for others to create, self-express and to enjoy the creative process of art in her community. Maria lives in Troy, New York.
